Will Arsenal forward Andrei Arshavin (pictured with the ball), Russia’s most successful football player at the European level in recent memory, be given enough playtime by coach Arsene Wenger when the Gunners travel to AZ Alkmaar for a Champions League game tomorrow? The Russian has not been a regular in the Gunners' starting lineup despite displaying some good football when he has been allowed to play.
Despite scoring 4 goals in his last five games, Arshavin remains out of the FTBL Top 23 of the English Premier League with an overall rating of just 153.73 points. His plank to beat against Alkmaar will amount to 21 rating points. To brake into the Top 23, Arshavin needs to play the entire game, score, and make sure Arsenal win.
Whether Arshavin will play the entire game tomorrow remains a decision for Wenger to make, but, if not, the Russian international could then be forgiven for voicing his desire (or dream) to play for Barcelona.
