Manchester United fans will probably be delighted if their favorite Wayne Rooney was to return to action on Sunday in the Premier League clash with rivals Liverpool, but from the perspective of his FTBL rating, the England international will be better served by returning instead in the next game against Blackburn Rovers.
If Rooney (he has an overall rating of 169.98 points at the moment) plays against Liverpool on Sunday, he will face a plank of 25.9 rating points to beat in the FTBL system, which in other words means he will have to score at least a goal while United win order to advance in the ranking or stave off a fall. But United have lost 2 games to Liverpool in a row.
The likeliest scenario here is that Rooney’s overall FTBL rating is more likely to shrink to 160 points if he returns with the Sunday game.
