Rubin will try to return to the top of the standings when they take on FC Rostov today in Russian Premier League action, while leader Alejandro Domínguez (pictured left) will have a chance to claim back the top spot in the FTBL ranking of strikers.
Domínguez lost the leadership to Spartak Moscow’s Brazilian Welliton, who had a double in the Moscovites’s 3:0 trashing of bottom-placed FC Khimki yesterday. Domínguez has a tally of 79.17 rating points to Welliton’s 84.24.
The Argentine will face a plank of approximately 10 rating points to beat in today’s game. He set the plank in the 1:2 loss to Amkar with a goal. Rubin actually lost 0:2 at home to Rostov in the first half of the championship.
