Cameroon international Samuel Eto’o (pictured left) and Swedish striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic (right), the two players who where at the center of one of the most controversial transfer last summer between Inter Milan and Barcelona, are continuing to compete across leagues through the FTBL world ranking, our list of the world’s top strikers.
As the Swede contributed 2 goals in last weekend’s 6:1 rout of Real Zaragoza by Barcelona in La Liga, Eto’o responded yesterday by netting two in Inter Milan’s 5:3 home win over Napoli in Serie A action. Ibrahimovic was back in the top 6 of the world ranking after the game with a tally of 176.09 points, but the Cameroonian responded again by picking up a whopping 24.54 rating points in our system to take his tally to 191.35 points and capture the 3rd spot in the ranking.
Ibrahimovic has now been pushed back out of the top 6, but the battle between the two is sure to continue this coming weekend, with the Sweden international facing a plank of 12 rating points to beat.
