Manchester United’s Wayne Rooney (pictured left) and Dimitar Berbartov (pictured right) have now held up in the top 6 of the FTBL ranking of strikers in the English Premier league for two weeks, with Berbatov having joined the elite in mid-October with a hat-trick for the Bulgarian national team that brought him a whopping 44.56 rating points in the FTBL system and the #1 spot in the ranking to boot.
Last Saturday, Rooney and Berbatov scored a goal each as United brushed aside Blackburn Rovers 2:0. Rooney earned 8.38 rating points, while Berbatov added 11.18.
Despite all this display of impeccable form, the Rooney-Berbatov tandem remains only second in the league, behind the Drogba-Anelka duo at Chelsea, whose combined FTBL rating stands at 352.18 points, against the Mancunians’ 333.59.
