Inter Milan’s Brazil international Maicon (pictured) captured the #1 spot in the FTBL ranking of defenders in the Italian Serie A after a goal in the Nerazzurri’s 2:0 away win at lowly Livorno yesterday.

The goal earned the Brazilian approximately 18 rating points in the FTBL system. He now has an overall FTBL rating of 125.85 points, the highest he has achieved in the past month and a half.

Maicon is now second only to Chelsea’s John Terry (133.77 points) in the FTBL world ranking. But he could witness a drop in the next round if he fails to sustain his scoring run: he faces a plank of approximately 18 rating points to beat.
