Recent leaders in the Bundesliga Hamburg have been sputtering lately, winning just one of their last 5 games (in the Europa League against Celtic). This, of course, has reflected on the ratings of key players such as goalkeeper Frank Rost, who has exited the FTBL Top 23 of the Bundesliga. What are Rost’s chances of returning into the elite in the near future?
Alas, not so good. Hamburg are traveling to Hannover for their next game, where Rost conceded 3 goals last season. True, they will be playing home right after against lowly Bochum, and they can fairly be expected to win that encounter. But Rost will have to “defend” more than 20 rating points in those 2 games, for which just one victory will not be enough.
We therefore think Rost’s numbers will fall below their current level by the time Hamburg take on Bochum on November 22, to something in the neighborhood of 65 points. From then on, a surge is almost inevitable: his balance for the next 2 games is negative.
