Russian international Roman Pavluychenko (pictured left), who gets very little playtime at Tottenham Hotspur, might want to sit out Russia’s World Cup 2010 playoff game against Slovenia if he wants to avoid a dramatic drop in his FTBL score: his plank to beat in the game will amount to a daunting 31.76 rating points, a plank he set back on September 5 in the Russia vs. Lichtenstein World Cup 2010 qualifier.
Pavlyuchenko then scored two goals from the penalty spot as Russia won 3:0, which means he will incur substantial losses if he fails to score against Slovakia. It is also very likely coach Guus Hiddink will not let him play the entire game.
In addition, the Spurs forward already has a yellow card, and another will disqualify him for the return leg in Slovenia! Russia's top scorer in World Cup 2010 qualifying might pay a heavy price personally in case he is allowed onto the pitch.
