Sporting’s Portugal international Liédson (pictured) might want to use the two games against Bosnia Herzegovina in the World Cup 2010 playoffs to try and shore up his sagging fortunes in the FTBL ranking.
Liédson has not scored a single goal since October 11, while Sporting have won just one of the 6 games he has played in the past month (a win over Latvia’s FK Ventspils). The remaining five were draws.
The lack of goals has seriously affected Liédson’s position in our ranking of strikers in the Portuguese league: he has dropped from No 1 to No 5 after seeing his overall FTBL rating shed more than 25 rating points. He now has a tally of 88.84 points.
If Liédson fails to score against the Bosnians, he risks exiting the top 6 of the ranking of strikers. His planks to beat in the two games will amount to 9 and 4.5 points, respectively.
