Greece – Ukraine: Is Milevskiy Out of Form?

Dynamo Kyiv forward and Ukraine international Artem Milevskiy has dropped more than 40 rating points in the FTBL system in the last month and a half alone and, as a consequence, has lost the #1 spot in our ranking of Ukrainian forwards. What is it? A temporary drop in form or is there something more serious here?

Most likely, Milevskiy’s problems are a tad more serious. The coach did not even allow him to complete the games against Karpaty Lviv and Inter Milan (in the Champions League). Were they saving him for other matches? Maybe. But prior to that Milevskiy had not been particularly convincing: after the brace against Andorra in early September, he has scored just one goal from the field in 12 games, which has resulted in the drop in the ranking.

In the game against Greece, Milevskiy will have an opportunity to redress the bar somewhat, but only if he tries really hard: he will have to beat a combined plank of approximately 20 rating points in our system, and at least a draw and victory are necessary for that. If Ukraine fail, then Milevskiy will have to score goals himself if he wants to avoid dropping further.
