Inter Milan Cameroon international Samuel Eto’o scored one of the goals in the Indomitable Lions’ 2:0 away win over Morocco to ensure Cameroon’s participation in the next World Cup finals in South Africa and increase his overall FTBL tally by more than 4 points.
Eto’o is now just 3 points from the 200-point mark in the ranking. Yet clearing that mark in the next game against Bologna in the Italian Serie A could prove impossible: he will go into that game with a daunting plank of 31.74 rating points to beat, a plank he set in Inter’s 5:3 win over Palermo, where he had a double.
In his next 5 games, he will have to “defend” approximately 90 rating points in the FTBL system. Given that amid those will be games against No1 in La Liga Barcelona and No 2 in Serie A Juventus, the Cameroon international may, in the end, fall short (at least in the coming month).
