Spartak Moscow’s Brazilian Alex (pictured), the best midfielder in the Russian Premier League at the moment in The FTBL ranking with a score of 85.22 points, could consolidate his lead when Spartak take on rivals CSKA Moscow on Saturday in what should be an exciting league game.
The Brazil international will face a low plank of less than 1 rating point in the FTBL system in the coming game. He set the plank in Brazil’s goalless draw with Venezuela in World Cup qualifying, in which he played just 14 minutes.
In the meantime, the No 2 in the ranking, Zenit St. Petersburg’s Konstantin Zyryanov (84.67 points), will attempt to close the gap with the Brazilian as Zenit take on current league leaders Rubin Kazan.
