Bayer Leverkusen’s Germany international Stefan Kiessling (pictured) had a hat-trick as the leaders in the Bundesliga crushed beleaguered Stuttgart 4:0 yesterday, hitting a career-high score of 181.08 points in the FTBL system and capturing a spot in the top tier of our world ranking of forwards.
Just a year ago Kiessling could hardly be considered a world-class forward, and his overall score hovered around the 100-point mark, never moving beyond 140 points. Yet last Sunday Kiessling proved he is to be counted with, bagging a whopping 44.41 rating points in our system and breaking into the world’s elite.
The Germany international now ranks 6th in the world, but judging from his recent performances he has the potential of climbing even further up the ranking. His plank to beat in his next game will amount to just 7.2 rating points, which means he will advance even if he fails to score, as long as Bayern win.
