Werder Bremen’s Sweden international Markus Rosenberg was impressive in his side’s 4:1 trashing of Portugal’s Nacional in the Europa League yesterday, scoring twice to earn more than 25 rating points in the FTBL system and begin an ascent in our ranking after a 3-month slide.
Rosenberg had the winner inside the 31st minute, before adding a second soon after. He boosted his FTBL score to 83.80 points, more than the score he had before the slide that began in early September.
The Swede had a better season in 2008, with an FTBL score that peaked at more than 135 points. The current season has been less stable, and he has played fewer games and scored even less.
In his next 4 games Rosenberg will have a combined plank of approximately 20 rating points to beat, which should not prove too hard for the talented Swede.
