Bordeaux’s Alou Diarra (second from right) captured the lead in the FTBL ranking of midfielders in the French Ligue 1 after adding more than 17 rating points as the Girondins downed No. 10 Paris Saint-Germain 1:0 at home yesterday in league action.
Diarra now has an overall FTBL score of 125.86 points and has nailed a spot in the top 8 of our world ranking of midfielders.
In the Champions League against Maccabi Haifa, Diarra will have to try hard if he wants to remain in the top 8, given he will face a plank of 15.45 rating points to beat.
