The loss to Manchester City and draw against APOEL Nicosia in the Champions League cost Chelsea star forward Didier Drogba more than 40 rating points in the FTBL system and the top spot in the ranking of African forwards. The new leader is Inter Milan’s Cameroonian star Samuel Eto’o (right).
Drogba now trails Eto’o by approximately 12 points, and it will be mighty hard for him to re-claim the lead considering that Eto’o will face a combined plank of just 20 rating points to beat in his next 5 games. Nonetheless, Droogba, who is much more productive than his rival, could make use of that trump card. He has scored 19 goals so far, against Eto’o’s 10.
Yet Drogba is still unlikely to reduce the gap in the next 2 games: he will face a combined plank of 23.64 points to beat, while the Cameroonian faces a plank of just 8 points and change.
