Manchester United’s Serbia international Nemanja Vidic’s FTBL score has been below the 100-point for almost a month, as the Red Devils’ performance this season has been less than all-impressive. Vidic has also been out of the FTBL World Top 23 for around two months now, which is in stark contrast to his performance of last year. The Serb was able to somewhat improve things yesterday in the 3:0 trashing of Wolverhampton Wanderers at Old Trafford in the English Premier League.
Vidic scored one of the goals in the 43rd minute and was rewarded with 17.84 points in the FTBL system. His take could have been bigger had he not been substituted in the match. He was also credited a little over 5 rating points as compensation for the 0:2 loss to Liverpool, which marked the beginning of the slump for the Serb: he received two yellow cards and was sent off in that game.
Despite yesterday’s performance, Vidic, who now has an overall FTBL score of 112.92 points, remains out of our list of the world’s top 23 players. Teammate and France international Patrice Evra, with a score of 116.44 points at the moment, is 6th in the ranking ahead of Vidic. He picked up 14.44 rating points in yesterday’s game, thanks to the low plank of 0.17 rating points he faced. That plank was set in the 0:1 loss to Turkey’s Besiktas in the Champions League.
