Arsenal’s France international William Gallas (left) has continued to drop in the FTBL ranking of defenders since France’s controversial elimination of Ireland in the World Cup 2010 playoff, when he rose to 2nd place in the list. Since then, the drop has been dramatic.
With an overall score of 94.33 points at the moment, Gallas is 28th in the world among defenders and only 6th among French defenders in the FTBL rankings.
The coming Premier League game against No.16 Hull City at the Emirates Stadium could change a lot. For one, Gallas will face a plank of just 5.62 rating points to beat, and if Arsenal win, he could push his score back beyond the 100-point mark. That will help in the following game, when he will be guaranteed a bonus of 3 points. If The Gunners win (as they are expected to) against Hull City on Saturday, Gallas should be able to return to more familiar ground, at last.
