Hamburg’s Frank Rost is finishing 2009 as Germany’s top goalkeeper in the FTBL system. He beat his main rivals in the last game of the year in the Bundesliga.
Rost’s road to triumph was not without difficulties; his FTBL score, for example, was as low as 55 points after a series of defeats in late November. Fortunately for the Germany international, 3 straight wins afterwards allowed him to recover lost ground and, in the crucial last game of the year against No. 6 Werder Bremen (2:1), Rost was able to claim the top spot in our ranking with 96.91 points.
Rost could hit 100 points as early as in the next round: Hamburg are playing against No. 10 Eintracht Frankfurt on January 16 at home, where they have been winning steadily so far. To hit 100 points, Rost needs to avoid conceding more than one goal.
