Lille’s 4:0 trouncing of Nancy last Wednesday in the French Ligue 1 did not just allow them to climb to 2nd place in the standings, it also helped 18-year-old midfielder Eden Hazard add 20 rating points in the FTBL system and become the highest rated Belgian player at the moment with a score of 108.39 points.
Bayern Munich’s Daniel Van Buyten, the best Belgian defender at the moment with a score of 97.91 points, has the second-best score after Hazard. Van Buyten had the highest score among Belgian players until Lille’s big win allowed Hazard to topple him.
Hazard is also now 4th in our world ranking of U-21 midfielders. Hazard’s current score is the highest he has achieved since we started tracking him.
