FC Basel’s Alexander Frei comfortably sits at the top of the FTBL ranking of Swiss forwards. He ends the year with a score of 133.19 points despite being in a Category 2 league.
Frei has been especially productive on international duty with Switzerland this year: for example, he scored 4 goals in two games against CSKA Sofia in the Europa League, earning more than 50 rating points.
Now Frei’s next official international game will be in the World Cup in South Africa, where things might prove a little more complicated. In the meantime, he will face a combined plank of approximately 40 points to beat in our system in his next 2 league games. Given the low category of the tournament, 4-5 goals might not be enough in order to beat that plank.
