Liverpool’s Spain international Fernando Torres (left) will face a plank of just 0.26 rating points to beat in the last game of the year against No. 4 Aston Villa on Tuesday, a chance for him to add to an FTBL score that has suffered considerably lately.
Torres, who has been beset by injuries since the beginning of the current season, has a tally of 118.12 points at the moment but is only 6th in the FTBL ranking of Spanish forwards.
If Torres scores against Villa, he could turn the tide and return in the top echelon of our most prestigious rankings: he could even contemplate the 2nd spot among Spaniards, where current No. 2 Soldado of Getafe is less than 20 rating points ahead. In the meantime, Valencia’s David Villa will remain safe at the top of our ranking of Spanish strikers with 215.43 points.
