Hosts Angola were stunned by Mali on Saturday as they saw a 4:0 lead disappear in the last 12 minutes of their opening game in the African Nations Cup (4:4). Sevilla star Frédéric Kanouté contributed a goal, netting the biggest gain in the FTBL system among Malians.
Kanouté picked up 16.15 rating points in our system to take his tally to 132.10 points, the highest of any Malian player.
Barcelona’s Seydou Keita had a double, but that had little impact on his FTBL score: he failed to beat the plank of 15 rating points he faced in the match and saw his tally shrink to 90.90 points. He remains the best Malian midfielder in the FTBL ranking.
