Argentine star Carlos Tevez scored his first hat-trick with Manchester City last Monday against Blackburn Rovers (4:1) to boost his FTBL score by a whopping 46.90 points and move closer to a spot in the FTBL World Top 23, our list of the world’s top 23 players.
Tevez, who now has a tally of 188.73 points, could have entered the elite group had it not been for the very high plank he faced in the game: the plank was a result of the 3:3 draw with Bolton Wanderers, in which the Argentine scored 2 goals. Tevez has now scored in 4 straight games.
The next game could well seal the return of the Argentine into the World Top 23, as he will go in with a guaranteed bonus of 0.50 points, a result of the 0:3 loss to Tottenham Hotspur. A win for City will send him back among the top 6 strikers in the world on the FTBL chart.
