Chelsea’s star striker Didier Drogba, who is on international duty with Cote d’Ivoire in the African Nations Cup at the moment, finds himself in a very tenuous position. The Ivoirians dropped 2 points in the opening game against minnows Burkina Faso (0:0), and they could exit the competition at the group stage if they lose today to powerhouse Ghana.
In the meantime, Drogba, with an overall FTBL score of 155.47 points at the moment, could lose his spot in the FTBL Top 23 for the English Premier League, our list of the 23 top players in England’s top league.
The Ivoirian is currently 5th in the ranking of strikers in the EPL and will face a daunting plank of 26.25 rating points to beat against Ghana. He set the plank in the 3:3 draw against Everton with a goal.
To avoid a loss of points Drogba will have to score at least 2 goals, while Cote d’Ivoire win. Any other outcome will result in a drop and exit from the Top 23.
