Chelsea’s Czech international Petr Cech is set to boost his current FTBL score of 112.53 points when the Blues host Sunderland this coming Saturday.
Cech will go into the game with a guaranteed 2.80 points bonus as compensation for his loss in the 3:3 draw against Everton.
If Chelsea win and concede no goals, Cech’s overall FTBL score will increase to 130 points, which will bring him closer to the leaders in the world ranking of goalkeepers, Barcelona’s Víctor Valdés, Inter Milan’s Júlio César, and Real Madrid’s Iker Casillas. A flop by any of them could send Cech back into the lead.
Cech is the second-highest rated Czech player in the FTBL system, behind CSKA Moscow’s Tomáš Necid (113.20 points), who had run of successful games at the end of season with the Russian side. Cech will return to the lead in that ranking if Chelsea win on Saturday.
