Toulouse FC forward André-Pierre Gignac, the top scorer in the French Ligue 1 last season, could not score a goal in 6 straight games, before he broke the spell yesterday in the 3:1 win at Le Mans. The goal yielded a hefty gain in the FTBL system.
Gignac boosted his score by 24.08 points and captured the top spot in our ranking of strikers in the Ligue 1 with 143.94 points. He is also now 3rd among French forwards in our system.
In his next 2 games Gignac will face a combined plank of just 9.65 points to beat. Taking into account Toulouse’s 6-game-unbeaten run, Gignac’s score should hit the 150-point mark.
