If you are among the fantasy owners who bought into Bayern Munich’s Dutch defender Daniel Van Buyten recently you might want to consider selling him now. Buyten’s recent run of good numbers (in which he scored 3 goals in 5 successive games, adding 11.77 points to push his tally up to 125.62 points and claim a spot in the World Top 23) appears to be drawing to end.
Van Buyten will face planks of 15.9 and then 14.6 points to beat in his next 2 game, all maximum planks for a defender. And even though Bayern’s next game will be against second division side Greuther Fürth, we think it is unlikely Van Buyten will extend his goalscoring run this time. This has been a long one for a defender as it is.
Buying the Dutchman again would make sense after the Champions League game against Fiorentina; he will face a plank of 9 points to beat and the tournament is ranked higher in the FTBL system. Throw in the fact that Fiorentina have been disappointing lately and it is all clear. Bayern actually crushed Fiorentina 3:0 in the 2008 campaign.
