AC Milan striker Fillipo Inzaghi, 36, has once again demonstrated his fantastic form! Inzaghi (pictured) scored a hat-trick in the latest game in Serie A, inspiring his team to a 3:0 victory over Atalanta.

The hat-trick lifted Inzaghi to the second place in the veterans’ rating with 122.72 points. The forward racked in 37.37 points in the encounter alone. Man United’s Edwin Van der Sar still leads the veterans rating with 142.28 points.

Inzaghi opened the score sheet seven minutes into the game from a Marek Jankulovski fantastic cross from the left of the goal. The Italian former international sent the ball rolling into the net with a single touch. Inspired, AC Milan practically took full control of the game, with Beckham showing his magic with fantastic passes for Pato and Inzaghi, who couldn’t, unfortunately, find the net.

Inzaghi increased his side’s lead at the 71st minute, after a beautiful pass from Brazilian Pato: Inzaghi, aka pippo, only had to gently send the ball past goalie Consigli. It did not take long for the AC Milan forward to complete his hat-trick, when defenders Zambrotta and Jankulovski executed a slick one-two to put Inzaghi in perfect position for his third.

“My goals are a reward at my age,” Inzaghi said after the game. “It would have been simply fantastic if I could always play like this!"
