A versatile player who can act as a center forward, a left-winger or an attacking halfback, his impeccable and sophisticated dribbling confuses opponents. Quite often, after even a light physical collision with an opponent, he drops to the ground – to the benefit if this club, naturally. He is not always a quick decision maker and not always prompt enough in dispensing with the ball. He debuted in 2005 with Montevideo's Nacional de Football. Two years later he had a brilliant performance with the Uruguay national team at the U21 World Cup.
