Barcelona are preparing to host Sevilla in La Liga action. The two sides are restless: Real Madrid are breathing down the neck of the Catalans, while Sevilla, after their 3:1 loss to Valancia recently, have lost their confidence.

Real Madrid struggled mightily at home to come back and secure a 3:2 win over Getafe. Gonzalo Higuain’s double saved the day. The Argentine is now in the World Top 23 with 141.40 points.

The week’s Top 23 ranking was marked by the meteoric rise of Bosnian Edin Dzeko and Portugal star Cristiano Ronaldo. Dzeko is now the best player in the world with a rating of 219.73 points. Ronaldo tops the rating of midfielders with 214.55 points.

The last match in the Spanish championship was successful for Raul (pictured left) and David Villa – both strikers scored to improve their ratings, and their teams recorded important wins.
